It is one of the oldest methods used in infrastructure construction works used by Ancient Egyptians thousands of years ago already.  Technically, the main purpose of core drilling is to remove a cylinder shape of an object (material) in order to install cables and pipelines in there. 

In order to drill all possible materials, we use the hardest material available- diamond.
